Thoughts

Two of my favourite memories of Uncle Tim are from my childhood. When I turned 10 years old he took me out for that important right of passage - my first ever Big Mac at McDonalds! And then when I was 12 he took me up in a helicopter from Elstree aerodrome. It was an amazing experience and I was in awe of my talented pilot uncle. More recently we have mostly seen each other at Christmases and other family gatherings. Uncle Tim always had an interesting story to tell or an idea to run past me and I enjoyed our chats. It is so sad to have lost him and we send our heartfelt condolences to Anne at this most difficult of times. With love from Jennifer (and Joe, William and Emily) x

Tim lived his life with great enthusiasm. Professionally he was a very talented and inventive person. Personally he was great company to be with, always very interesting. It is such a terrible loss and he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and love go out to Anne. We hope that in time she will find comfort in all her wonderful memories of the life she shared with Tim. Julie and Brian Norman

Tim was my wife Ginnie’s little brother. He was only 4 when I first got to know her in 1959. By the time we were married in 1974, he had started his career in the film industry and was the photographer at our wedding. But it is his own lovely wedding to Anne many years later that has to be the high spot of my memories of him. Over the years he was cheerful and friendly towards me, his older brother in law, and I was impressed by his enthusiasm for new projects and his extensive knowledge of both filming and flying. Ginnie would have been saddened by his early death following her own and Peter’s. She would have joined me in sending sympathy to Anne and wishing her well for the future.
